Elbow bursitis, also known as Olecranon bursitis, is a condition where there is redness, pain, and swelling around the elbow’s tip. Elbow bursitis is quite common nowadays. It is not a major health concern. Nevertheless, proper precautions should be taken to avoid and get rid of elbow bursitis.

Olecranon is a thin fluid-filled sac in the tip of the elbow. You see that tippy bone on your elbow, that is Olecranon. Typically, Olecranon is flat, but when due to some reason, fluids start to accumulate in the olecranon bursa, then the situation of elbow bursitis may arise. Bursitis is also common in other parts of the body, mostly in joints such as the shoulder, heel, hip, and legs.
